You can not use a smartphone for your project, but need a smart display or touchscreen?

 

Today are well known cells, organizers equipped with esthetic and functional screen layouts. The users are expecting an informative and attractive graphic display layout on their machine controls, instead of just a simple text display.

The displays can work with a low cost micro controller or any PLC. All required fonts, static and animated graphics, text templates and macros can be easily stored to the flash memory of the display controller. Complex screen layouts can be controlled by sending a few bytes.

Display Control

 

 

 

The comfortable command set enables to fully control nearly any available graphic display with
a size from 122x32 up to 1024x600 pixels.

 

All graphics, fonts and text templates can be stored to the display panel's flash memory via display setup software, prior to its use by the controlling hardware.

Communication Ports

 

The controllers are equipped with communication ports as follows, depending on hardware type:

 

•  USB Port

•  Ethernet Port with 10/100 Mbit/s

•  Serial Port for RS-232 (300 ... 115200 baud)

•  Serial Port for RS-232, RS-422 or RS485 (300 ... 115200 baud)

•  I2C Port (bit rate up to 400 kHz)

•  SPI Port

 

The communication port can be changed in operation, the controller always sends its response to the recently used port automatically. Setting up the chips can be done via one of the two serial ports or via the USB port.

 

I/O Ports

 

In addition to the display control, the controllers carry out all necessary I/O based tasks, thus allowing for further simplification of the hardware design, depending on hardware type:

 

•  Keyboard matrix scanning for up to 128 keys

•  Controlling of up to 16 outputs/LEDs (on/off/blink with user
   selectable blink frequency)

•  Up to 4 ADC inputs for analog measurements or up to 4 digital
   inputs

•  Controlling of 2 relays

•  Alternative to the relays: PWM outputs
   (e.g. for speaker or buzzer)

•  Adjustable watchdog for controlling your hardware

•  ATX power supply control

•  Touch screen control

•  up to 512 Byte EEPROM emulation for user data

•  MicroSD card control

•  Real-time clock with battery backup

INSEVIS S7-Panel-HMI

 

INSEVIS S7-Panel-HMI are usable for decentral panel unit for INSEVIS PLCs or other S7-PLCs.

 

These panels combine TFT displays with a special touch foil, that guarantees a leak protection class IP65. A wide range of working temperature and a full metal housing are brilliant properties for a rough environment too.

 

The visualization tool "VisuStage" affords beside high class menues a lot of useful functions and a simulation. With "RemoteStage"
it is possible, to control and view the panel in a remote way with a very slim data transfer using TCP/IP.
