Dr. Neuhaus new Smart Meter Gateway awarded for Innovation and Security by European Smart Metering Awards 2013

 

Dr. Neuhaus Telekommunikation GmbH won two prestigious awards at the Smart Metering UK & Europe Summit in London. An independent judging panel of industry experts selected the recently launched Smart Communication Module (SCM), a smart meter gateway, as winner in the "Cyber Security" category as well as in the product "Innovation of the Year" category.
The Smart Communication Module is Dr. Neuhaus’ most recent addition to its product line of smart meter gateways. It is the first product to integrate cryptographic hardware, offering protection against cyber attacks, and ensuring the confidential handling of energy consumption data. The Smart Communication Module also features an innovative and flexible architecture for wide area communication via power line (PLC). The product is currently rolled out in a large smart metering project in Belgium.
